We're taking a short break at Salford Quays on the way home from Wales; a time to visit museums and the Blue Peter garden.

There is quite a wildfowl population in the Central Bay of the Manchester Ship canal. Strolling the quayside on our first evening, in amongst the Mute Swans and Canada Geese, was this solitary Egyptian Goose.
