Lift Bridge
A second view from our short stay in Salford Quays, the Lift Bridge which spans the Manchester Ship Canal.
We spent most of the day at the Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI), a few stops down the tram line in Manchester. MOSI is a great combination of impressive artefacts, especially in the Air and Space Hall and the Textile Gallery, together with modern interactive learning displays. 8yo used one of the displays to initiate the Haçienda Re-enactment Society. It's one of the best museums around.
Later, we scooted and pottered about the Quays, watching the watersports and visiting the Blue Peter Garden. It's great to have such an extensive patch of virtually car-free public realm to explore.
