Ribblehead Viaduct
On our way home via a detour after finding the last resting place of Andy Goldsworth's arch; see PaulaJ.
We stopped for lunch overlooking the famous Ribblehead Viaduct that carries the Settle to Carlisle railway across this boggy valley. The picture looks North and soon after the bend the line goes into a one mile tunnel under Blea Moor. The viaduct is best viewed from this angle. When on the train the views are great but you can't see the viaduct! It's a bit like looking at castles, they are more impressive from the outside than from inside.
