I love castles - the mystery, the intrigue, the dastardly deeds...the sometimes questionable use of plaid!

How lucky we are to have these living museums that bring our history to life and enable us to touch, experience and connect with the past. How sad that modern time is so transient in its constructions.

Eilean Donan Castle - funnily enough I've never been in but like every other trip I stopped again.
