Loch Leven

Perfect Sunday afternoon walking up Bishop Hill, near Scotlandwell, in warm, glorious sunshine.

Just a great day for a picture of Loch Leven where Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned at Lochleven Castle in 1567, before escaping disguised as a servant girl.

I wonder how the view from Bishop Hill would have been different back then and if you would have encounter walkers...such thoughts that meander through your head on sunny afternoon walks.
