Abstract by Glass

My turn to be mind numbingly frustrated today... visit to Respiratory lab and clinic for my respiratory health turned into a marathon. Tests all went to plan but then spent an hour waiting to be seen by the specialist. Finally got sick of waiting and made inquiry as to how much longer I might have to wait only to be told that the green form I had clutched in my hand needed to be handed in at reception so that they could proceed. When I inquired as to when I might have expected to be given this information the receptionist just laughed - !!#*?? - and said I should have been told when I left the lab. I wasn't. Did they not have my name down for an appointment this morning? Yes... but it is my responsibility to follow process. The galling thing was they had seen me sitting there in the waiting room for the past hour plus they hadn't thought to ask if I was there!!???

So hard these days to get staff that know how to think ...
