Busy day at work, as you’d expect after several days away. Then home early to look after the kids.

An afternoon of homework and playing with new devices, my new Spot Tracker. Purchased it exactly 8 days ago in the US, shipped to my NZ Post YouShop account, and $22 and 3 days later it was here. Amazing.

Technically not available in this country …

Got the account setup and all is working. Tracking at 10 min intervals and 1 x SOS message and 3 custom ones. My test messages took 12 minutes to be sent to the satellite, processed, then distributed by email, txt or social media such as Facebook.

Perfect for the trip in a few weeks.
