Another beautiful day

I woke up early this morning feeling sick to my stomach thinking about the GCSE results. Then the email came from school with his results - they were stunning results and I was very pleased with Adam.

It was another beautiful day, a blue cloudless sky, and we were meeting friends for a walk. We had the morning at home to get through all the texting and facebook and whatsapp and whatever...the aftermath of exam results!

After a quick lunch we met our friends and we caught the gondola to the top of the mountain and walked back down to the village. It was very scenic and a very enjoyable walk. Our friends live in London and are retired, and so are considering spending more time here during the year. I cannot think of a nicer place in which to do that.

So a quiet celebration to end the day - Adam and I had a small glass of bubbly tonight with supper (a dinky bottle of Prosecco). We will celebrate again on the weekend when Gavin and Luke are here.
