experimenting

When I got home from work today OMG - the smell outside was horrendous - I think the proverbial had been being spread over the nearby fields. Thankfully the whiff had gone by later on when I took this photo. I was practising doing long exposures in the dark, ready for when I go to Iceland and need to take photos of the Northern lights!
I was going to try and photograph the almost full moon, but it was hiding behind the church!
I did have some fights with my tripod- I think I might need to invest in a better one, my camera kept on getting a touch of brewers droop! and I couldn't seem to get this picture totally straight - arrgghhh. need to practice lots more with tripod!
