Energy conservation

This is not.

This is the leichtag biomedical research building at UCSD lit up like a Christmas tree at 11pm. Nobody in it. Such a waste of energy. UCSD like to say there are Eco friendly and probably pay some "chancellor"/"executive" type $1000's to spearhead this. Ridiculous.

I'm up at work this late as the wife's plane is delayed an hour coming back from Portland. As its my birthday tomorrow I follow the English tradition of bringing cake. Everyone else buys for each others birthday. I can't be bothered with that hence why I bring my own (plus can get something I actually like). As I cycle to work there is no room for cake so I am organized and dropping it off in work fridge until tomorrow afternoon. Lets hope it's still there.

Frustrating day at work. An experiment I've been doing for last week or so I cocked up at very final step. I may be able to salvage something. But it's an important control for more important experiments to come. Undergrad still having issues with her work. Half worked half didn't. Blah blah blah. Bored and frustrated with this job as usual....
