Day 1- Opening Ceremony

Today we played Slovakia in the morning. I was tired this morning as I had to get up at 5.45am. However I was very excited about the games.

They were a very good team. We played well and our pitcher Lily did great an got a couple of strikeouts. One of the Slovakian girls hit an Out-Of-The-Park Home Run. She was an amazing hitter but I felt so bad for her because her run wasn't counted as one of the people on base took a lead off (they left the base before they were allowed so were therefore out.)

Later in he day we watched some of the other games and ate lunch at the field (it was pasta like always!) The opening ceremony was later on in the day and we had to get in our uniform. They opening ceremony wasn't to bad and we all had a very good time!

After that we had dinner (pasta) and watched the night game. It was quite late by the time we got back to the hotel so I was exhausted. We had another talk in the coaches room about the games tomorrow. I am going to be second base!

Can't wait for tomorrows games but very tired tonight.
