Life's tangled skein

Forth Pano

Today saw the first day of "operation cycle part of the way to work occasionally". What I did was that I cycled part of the way to work. I hope to do this occasionally in the fututre.

I drove to the car park at the south side of the Forth Road Bridge, and then cycled from there to work. Endomondo tells me that the journey (http://www.endomondo.com/workouts/235041632/122779) was about five and a half miles, and I probably burned around 560 calories today by cycling :-)

This photograph was taken from half-way across the Forth Road Bridge, the left-hand side of the photo being north and the right-hand side being south.

My adventure today taught me that:

1) I want to become confident that I can park at the Forth Bridge car park without coming back to find it towed away
2) I need to leave home earlier if I want to do this
3) I need better bike lights
4) I'm going to have to learn to make the best of the camera in my phone!

But all in all, a good experience!
