What's wrong with this picture?
I love Charlie's expression in this picture. He was surprised by my OH MY GOD when I walked into the room to see him stood up against the futon. The crazy little man. How can he go from crawling to lifting himself up to stand in just a few days! I love that he looks so shocked by me.
Is it wrong that my second reaction upon seeing him was to snap a picture for today's blip? haha. My first reaction was of course to check he wasn't going to fall but he seemed fairly solid on his feet so I risked taking a picture...or two. The others were better pictures but this one shows the scene I walked into.
I was still feeling rubbish today so this morning Charlie played while I tidied up. A little rant: I love that Robin cooks dinner of an evening but I hate that he leaves all the washing up for me to do the next morning. Rinsing as you go is the secret to a harmonious relationship! ;)
Before the chores I showed Charlie the new toy Robin picked up for him yesterday: a VTech First Steps Walker. He loved it. He didn't stop playing with it the whole time I was washing the pots, until his little display of upper body and leg strength that is! It would've been great to catch the standing on video but I must admit I didn't encourage him to do it a second time.
After his second very short nap of the day (20 minutes, thanks dude!) we took a swift walk up to the AP boating lake to meet Kelly for an iced mocha and a chill in the park. I took the play unit out of the walker (great that it detaches) for the boys to play with and Dylan loved it but, as usual, Charlie only had eyes for grass.
An hour or so flew by before we decided to head back via the park so the boys could have a quick go on the swings. They looked so cute swinging side by side and were both laughing their heads off.
Finally it was teatime. Kelly and Dylan came back to ours for spaghetti bolognaise (the yummy output of Robin's messy pile of pots from last night). Dylan loved it apparently. Charlie did well too but after a big lunch (including leftover frittatas) and breakfast I left out dessert.
After they headed off I gave Charlie his bath and he went down at 7pm. I'm still up 5 hours later. Robin is at his boss's leaving do so I've spent the evening back blipping and catching up on crap TV including the new series of Celeb Big Brother. It doesn't look as good as last year but I still sense an impending addiction.
