Red Dahlia Flowers
My family finally arrived home yesterday evening after a delay of almost twenty-four hours. Apparently Oliver beamed when he opened his envelope; he posted on FaceBook 'Good Results' and included a smiley. The results were well worth waiting for, he gained eleven of his GCSEs with very good grades, but as expected did not do quite as well with Spanish, but he only took that as he needed another subject. His excellent grades mean that he can go to the sixth form of his choice. I can also reveal the results of the OCR ITC which were covered here, he gained a distinction for one and a merit for the other; he was excepting just a pass so he was very pleased with his result. Well done Oliver, your hard work has paid off.
The deer seem to be leaving the Dahlia flowers alone, after eating the heads of recently; probably because they prefer the windfall apples and pears. I have blipped one from this plant before, there are also some yellow ones and an orange pom pom, which are just opening, so they might feature as blips very soon.
Too wet to garden as you can see from the raindrops on these flowers and my back is not yet better; it is the F1 today from 'Spa' so a day of staying indoors and doing nothing too taxing.
