Spooked heron

Another Friday and chance to indulge in our new Friday ritual of meeting at the station and walking home via a canalside pub. As we reached the Thames, we stalked this heron trying to get closer. It took off and I just managed to get a shot in time. It is not well focussed but I love the shape that this huge bird makes as it takes off for the other side of the river.
