Storytelling

I headed back to the Fringe today, getting suddenly panicked that it was almost over. On Friday, I met a lovely girl in the queue to see Brian Henson. She was a puppeteer in training and told me that she was doing a kids puppet show on Sunday and was nervous about no-one turning up. I said that I would go, and she looked so happy! If I say I'll do something, then I like to think I'll do it.

I went to her show this morning and watched her and her dog, Argos, and their adventures in Ancient Greece. It was really quite good, but while I know I'm young at heart, it was meant for people significantly younger than me. Loads of people had turned up and it was a success! I'm really pleased for her! I took a couple of shots, but was quite far back (damn kids) so couldn't get a good one.

So instead I took a shot of the next show I went to see: Superbard The Flood. It was a spoken word apocalyptic tale of geekery, video games, statistics and flooding. It was brilliant! I thoroughly enjoyed it - I'd say go and see it, but today was the last show!

I wanted to see a third show, but it wasn't on till 8.40 and I'd have had to pay full price. I came home instead and will have to think of whether or not to go tomorrow for its last show. I'm out all day at the book festival tomorrow, so I'll see how I feel then. It seems a shame to miss it...
