House for an Art Lover
We had seen a little while ago that there was a farmer’s market on today at ‘A House for an Art Lover’. The farmer’s market was fairly small but we did get a wee chilli plant and a jar of blackberry, apple and gin jam. Looking forward to enjoying them both soon (although the chillis will take a little longer as we don’t have any growing at the moment).
The house itself was designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh back in 1901 for a competition but it wasn’t actually built until 1996! The house and the grounds were stunning. We will be going back soon for a full look around (watch this blip space!).
This sculpture was outside and commemorates the ship builders of the River Clyde. The inscription says ‘Who Made the Clyde Great’. The detail is amazing
On a blip sided note Jen suggested that I should do weekly themes to make sure my picture taking stays fun! I’ll be trying to take pictures that fit the theme but if something else really pops out I might stray from the theme but it will always be there if needed.
So this week’s theme will be... nature in the city
