Goodbye cheers!
LAST NIGHT in Dad and Sabine's house...and last night for them before the packers arrive tomorrow to fill their shipping container. First day at school tomorrow with all the teachers at the school and first night in my apartment. Lots of emotions flying around everywhere and the realisation that I probably won't be seeing any familiar faces until December is starting to kick in. Had my phone set up for a day and was so hugely impressed by the fact that every time I checked my balance, it was still at full credit, even though I was using whatsapp and other internet based apps to catch up with friends and loved ones. That was until it decided to tell me I'd drained the entire charge card down to 0. SO back to the nokia, which OH has run out of credit. To make communication even more complicated, Dad has to take his internet USB back to Lagos this week, so fingers crossed I can find a place to buy a top up card, otherwise it's goodnight - and goodbye until next weekend. Feeling pretty intimidated and if nothing else, plain stupid for accepting a job so far from anyone and anything I know.
Here's the pink fizz I bought at the airport in Paris. We had a lovely breakfast and then started to pack up the house, before a quick trip to my apartment for round 2 of hand-me-downs. Very lucky and have been well stocked with useful items. Hopefully can blip tomorrow but if not, will do as soon as I can.
