A grand day out

This is the final of the County Cup between Keswick and Furness. I know very little about cricket but I wonder if there is a more perfect place to hold such an event than the cricket ground in Appleby. Placed between the river and the church - on a perfect Summer afternoon it was a lovely place to be.
The other reason it was a lovely place to be was that we had shimmeyed up the road there because Ellie and Mike are there on holiday this week with lovely grandchild Matthew (now 5 months old).
A really lovely day.
