Em's bush
Many years ago now Em & Sid, my wife's parents, moved down from Gateshaead to live near us as Sid had sadly developed Alzheimer's.
Em brought with her some cuttings from her garden which she planted in their new home. Sadly they both passed away only a few years afterwards, within a week of each other.
My wife took a cutting from , what is now known as "Em's Bush" from their garden and we planted it in ours, a tangible memory of them both and of her old home.
Some 20 or more years have now past and the bush is passed its prime and this year it has not looked too good and as we have plans to alter the area where its planted, we had decided that it it was perhaps time to take it out. Someone must have been listening, because it has burst into flower! and looking better than ever
It look like we will need to think again
