Always a welcome sight.
As you drive west along HWY101 you will catch a glimpse of Cape Blomidon in the distance, jutting into the Minas Basin, the eastern portion of the Bay of Fundy. When I see this I know I'm only a few more minutes from home. Not such a big deal when coming back from Halifax (~50 min), but when coming back after trips away (plane or car), it's nice to see.
Yesterday the WTN/AJ and I wen to a car show near Evangeline Beach. This is near Grand Pre. This is the area of Nova Scotia where many Acadians were deported. A "must visit" when in the Annapolis Valley. I forgot how clearly you could see Blomidon from the parking lot at the beach. We plan to bring the fur children back during low tide and do some mud running...
