Watershed
I've always been fascinated by the directions rivers flow from their gathering grounds. This is Rundale Tarn behind Dufton Pike and right on the top of the Pennines. The water from it flows roughly east into the River Tees and so to the North Sea. The exit is to the left.
However to the right is a branch of the lake which with a little digging could divert water into Rundale Beck which would carry the water west, into the Eden and then to the Solway Firth. A few yards really matter.
Not really the source of the Nile but an interesting place.
