Another bike ride

This one will be shorter than the Manchester to Blackpool ride I did on July.

But it will be bigger in so many respects.

More of that tomorrow but today was about making sure the bike is right.

Tyres inflated, brakes adjusted and lights checked. All set.

In other news I've spent the morning working on preparations for the new term.

I very rarely bring work home. I was given a piece of advice to only take work home if I would feel better by doing it.

That advice had served me well for over 20 years now and I feel much better for doing the work I did.

I got distracted by the beautiful sight of dozens of Red Admiral butterflies on the buddleja bush. it's been a brilliant summer for butterflies and they love buddleja.

I've also had a lovely afternoon in the sun at the football with great company and good fun between both sets of supporters.
