Swinging
This is Charlie's fourth time on a swing but there was evidently always something a little more exciting to take a picture of on those other days because this is our first blip of him in a swing!
It's not the best given it's shot into the sun but better that than Charlie face the sun, especially as he hates having it in his eyes. Robin took it so I shouldn't complain either.
The swing was located in Trent Park, not too far away from us in Hertfordshire. It's a 430 acre parkland belonging to a lovely manor house that includes woodland, playgrounds, nature reserves, Go Ape (maybe one day) and plenty of picnic space.
Robin suggested the trip after a long and uncharacteristic lunchtime nap by Charlie. He slept so long it made the original destination a little too far away for the time left in the day. We were going to go to the home of George Bernard Shaw, but that probably was a little too cultured for a bank holiday Monday with a baby anyway!
Instead we headed out to Brookman's Park, past Potters Bar, for lunch. The weather was lovely so we sat outside enjoying village life. It did feel like an episode of TOWIE. There were a lot of side partings on men and horse riding clobber on women.
I love that Charlie can join us at the table in a highchair. I gave him Sophie to play with and he was giving her a good squeak right up until we realised there was a massive bull mastiff sat behind us who was hoping to get his teeth into her also!
