This is Charlie at nap time. Suffice to say, he didn't sleep! I wasn't too surprised though. After his usual 5am wake up and play session, and trip downstairs with Daddy at 7am he went back to sleep until 10:30am! I joined him and it was bliss :)
For some reason he was in a bit of a grumpy mood when he woke up. I'd taken delivery of my new 5 in 1 steam mop and had a list of about a dozen places around the house where I wanted to use it. I barely got through one as he was being quite clingy and steam and babies don't really mix!
Kelly got in touch about doing something today so we decided to take the babies swimming. Charlie's not been since his holiday.
It was another beautiful day so we did the 30 minute walk over to Crouch End through the palace, hoping the boys would sleep. No chance! Charlie had been awake over 5 hours before we got in the pool. I was worried he'd get cranky with being so tired but he was fine.
He wasn't his usual giggly self but immediately started kicking. Dylan too was just mainly unfazed by it all. I decided to push my luck by dunking him and he was not impressed! He didn't cry, just looked at me like I'd betrayed him! Mean mummy.
Getting us both dry and dressed was hard work. Charlie is so unwilling to stay lying down that the change table was lethal. He was also hungry and beyond shattered. I've not seen him fall asleep so hard since he was a newborn.
While he was crashed out, I was signing him up for his first swimming lessons. They start next Monday and go on for 12 weeks. Kelly signed up too and Katrina and Emily are planning on joining us. I'm looking forward to it!
