"I'M LOOKING OUT THE WINDOW" I'M ........"
Well I don't know whether it's because the weekend was tiring or whether I have overdone it today, but I'm very tired. Didn't even get to walk Phoebe today. By the time I got home from work via the doctor's surgery to pick up a repeat prescription for one of my necessary drugs, grabbed a quick Matso lunch, time was ticking by too quickly.
Got some washing into the machine, dead headed the front baskets/window boxes, it was time to continue with the dress making.
I heard a caffufal in the back garden. Rushed downstairs to see Jazz, Sassie and Phoebe all crowding round one of the flower pots down by the decking. They were all very intent and focused, and as I looked down, there was a very small mouse, hiding right by my foot. Rats, I thought, if only I had my camera with me!! What do I do, I thought. Although I dont encourage the little blighters nesting again in 'the beast', neither did I want to see it become a plaything for the girls. So I bent down to try and pick it up. No chance, it leapt over my hand, over Phoebe's foot which made her jump and disappeared. Didn't see it again but we heard movement in the undergrowth this evening as we sat outside having a debriefing on Mr A's day.
So I haven't been out. But I have discovered that while I'm out at work, the above is Phoebe's 'protection' stance. She was barking frantically, telling me there was someone passing by the window. She takes her role of guard dog very seriously, and although very small, she sounds ferocious.
Thank you all for your kind comments and continued encouragement. Now time to say goodnight, may you have a wonderful, peaceful night and be thoroughly blessed tomorrow.
