Street Shot Day #1
A Ramblers Tale and I decided to do a project together. We wanted to do street shots together. This is Day 1, for me.
If anyone wants to join our project feel free but let me know!
Now the tale of the day.
My husband and I took a drive up to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park today. It was a glorious day with sunny, then beautiful stormy skies. This area is very special to the two of us. We spent our honeymoon here over 36 years ago (yeah, we're older than dirt!).
We drove to the top of Trail Ridge Road, elevation 11,500+ feet. There we met Ray and Jeff, two guys who were just on an outing like us. We all exchanged pictures then headed our separate ways.
On the way back down from the top of the pass, we encountered a traffic jam. A herd of elk had bedded down in a meadow adjacent to the road. Everyone was stopping and gawking. We went down the road, found a safe parking place and I started shooting. Most of the calves were resting in the tall grass, including many new bucks with their antlers sticking up. I got some great pictures! Oh, well, we are doing street photography, not wildlife.
We then went into Estes Park had a great lunch and I got some great shots. I had many good shots to choose from, but I really liked this one. This taffy store has been in business since I was a little girl. I really liked the taffy machine, the people inside the store and the reflection of the window.
