Portobello Beach Edinburgh Day 365
Point of Departure .... from a year of daily blips of Porty Beach Life...
Every departure is also an arrival...
So I will definitely keep on blipping and running (but not as fast as this young man doing serious repeat runs between the groynes early this morning!). The beach will continue to feature from time to time but my year's project of a beach blip every day, I am at home here , is now at an end. Thank you to everyone who has been kind enough to subscribe, view or comment on my project. That supportive gallery out there is a unique and very powerful component of Blipfoto. Thank you all very much indeed and also to BlipCentral for their seamless wizardry in enabling all this Blip magic to happen!
The Thomson Spirit arrives in Leith from Felixstowe on a round Britain cruise. She displaces 34000 tonnes and carries 500 souls - 300 passengers and 200 crew. She passes the anchored tanker Dutch Faith waiting on the call to proceed up river to Grangemouth. The seafront of Kirkaldy is clearly visible behind the isle of Inchkeith.
