night rocks

the beach at night, my favourite.

A busy day, lots more getting things into the freezer, mowing, planting, etc.
It was soft and drippy this morning but came out hot again this evening.

There are clouds of butterflies now, zillions of them. Mostly small tortoiseshells, with a good sprinkling of peacocks and red admirals, lots of large and small whites, speckled wood, wall brown, ringlet, meadow brown, painted lady.
Lots of honey bees too.
