I promised Rod, and here he is! Rod is a very interesting character. We get on very well -- too well, sometimes; very little work gets done when we share an office.

Of course, that seems to be true of anyone I share an office with. Today I went in with the intent of lesson planning and reading a significant portion of Toward a Philosophy of the Act; I lesson planned and read exactly one paragraph of my book before our office became the Fourth Floor Fun Zone. I'm not complaining, don't get me wrong. I just might need to find another space in which to read Bakhtin :P

Tomorrow is more teaching, and then a long weekend. I finally feel like I'm falling back into the groove of teaching, but that only stands to reason; the first few days are both the most difficult and least interesting of the semester. I'm looking forward to what comes next.
