Bank holiday Monday....and the first sunny one in ages.

A photo job for me today......the local we go to on Sunday evenings is having a charity day for the local hospice....a western themed day....and the landlord and landlady asked me to take photos for their website (I'm going to email them after I've caught up on all this back blipping).

The S & H, YH and Charlie came back to enjoy the day....we wandered up to the pub to be in time for the start of the fun at 2.00.

There was a bucking bronco, Gladiator pugil stick arena, tombola, raffle, barbecue, ice cream stall and other attractions...plus western fancy dress....and a western themed quiz in the evening.

I spent a couple of hours shooting, we had a beer (or two), an ice cream from a local shop (eat your heart out Mr. Whippy) and a pulled pork burger with a Jalapeno salsa to make your eyes water!

Wandered back home for a bit of a rest and then out to the quiz....we won....well we are all pretty good on western movies, theme songs and actors...and I discovered I'd won 14th prize in the raffle......a case of 8 bottles of Thwaites Wainwright beer....thank God I didn't win one of the girlie prizes.

The photos look pretty good....hope the recipients like them.

Still no sign of the new router....but not surprising on a Bank Holiday really.
