Goodenough

The Goodenough Club - my residence for a couple of days. The building was designed as a suite of town houses in the early 19th century as part of one of London’s most beautiful garden squares. It became a nursing home during the Second World War and was later renovated by Goodenough College (established in 1931 by Frederick Craufurd Goodenough) to provide guest and visitor accommodation and is run as an educational charity.

I have been pleasantly surprised by the sense of community in this part of London – an open air cinema played tonight in the park opposite! Everywhere there are rows of bikes to hire and they seem to be very popular – there are many more cyclists than I remember from last time I was in London. The air is also warm and still and the sun is shining – feels like summer!
