Summer's gone

Trying really hard to pretend that summer's still here but the evidence is starting to stack up that it's not. Today was the last day of summer hours so from next week no more Friday afternoon's off. (Does afternoon's need an apostrophe? I can't decide but left it in just in case) Not only that but the kids have gone back to the school near work - not sure why they need a lollipop lady when there's already a zebra crossing. And to top it all off it's starting to get dark earlier and earlier. But at least the weather is still ok. When that goes I'm gonna get really depressed.

Went for a lovely lunch with the fella then spent the rest of the afternoon pottering before having a little snooze - am a huge fan of the afternoon snooze but don't get to have them too often.

My shower has been making a funny chirping noise for a few days since the fella tightened the off dial thing. He promised to fix it today but nothing seemed to be working. He was about to properly take it to bits when we realised the noise was coming from the hanging shower tidy. It turned out to be the shave gel aerosol - I guess it was losing pressure or something. Thank god I didn't call a plumber!
