On the town

Oh what fun that was. Met Carl after work for great Italian dinner at Franco's on Jermyn Street, followed by The 39 Steps at the Criterion Theatre. Sadly Carl didn't make it to the theatre as the tummy bug he had been ignoring all day refused to be ignored any longer. Not to worry as the three of us loved it so much we will happily go again when he's feeling better. And at least the kids' tickets were free as part of the very marvellous Kids Theatre Week when they go free or half price to practically everything on.

Can't recommend The 39 Steps enough for a belly-laughing night out for all the family. It is pitched as 4 actors playing 139 parts but in reality the lead plays just the lead, the female actor plays 3 parts and the other two actors work their little butts off changing hats, coats, and lawd knows what. Everyone did a great job but to me they were the absolute hits.

The rest of the day wasn't anyway near as exciting....lunch box buying, haircuts, washing, unpacking...
