And impromptu opening of the not quite finished kitchen. But these friends are the sort who are rarely in the country, even less rarely in the country together and yet rarer still with a free night. Found a taste of Spain in London to celebrate. Very lovely to see dear friends, you know the ones who you don't see for ages and it is as lovely as ever and you have everything to talk about.

Early morning hair cut - apparently I now officially have long hair (first time in 20years) which interestingly takes less time to cut than short hair.

Brunch in local brasserie with voucher won at school fair.

Shopping for various birthday presents.

Lovely bumping into of two neighbours not seen all summer.

Dusting and unpacking slightly more of the kitchen. At current rate we're aiming for around Christmas.

And long discussion about potential new job for Carlos. Will mean some medium sized changes for a while but in my view could be more than worth it to see him head out with a spring in his step each morning. Everything crossed.
