Red Tailed Black Cockatoo
Calyptorhynchus banksii samueli
Great afternoon out exploring John Forrest National Park. Gorgeous creeks and streams, a beautiful waterfall, wildflowers galore and a gorgeous family of red tailed black cockatoos. This is mum feeding away on eucalypt nuts completely oblivious to the constant sqwarks of her youngster, who was sitting next to a rather fed up looking dad!
For a bear fix >>>>> Check out cheeky little Tieu Long this time last year :)
