teapot

Anyone following my blips may have realised that I'm partial to a cup/mug/pot of tea. So when I saw this giant teapot at Beningbrough Hall I decided that it was probably going to be todays blip.

I was very surprised to see grapes growing in the walled gardens - great big bunches of them. Plus apples, pears, raspberries and pumpkins.

Had a look at the art exhibition too. Work by the illustrator of Postman Pat and Rupert Bear (I'm a fan of both). Interesting to look at but not something I would hang on the wall at home. Anyway, I didn't have £300 on me!

The journey involved going over a what sounded like a rickety bridge. It cost 40p each way but would have cost more than that in fuel to go the long way round.
