The Art of Hedge Cutting

After receiving a rather high quotation to reduce the height of the hedge, there have been discussions with the neighbours during this last week. Decision - we'll do it ourselves. We have all the necessary cutters and tools, so nothing to hire.

So, CJ swung into action early afternoon, with plumb line in position, and canes through the hedge, to indicate to "next door" the proposed new height (there is a bit of a drop on the other side). Everyone helped out, including taking car loads of cuttings to the dump. I think they were quite impressed with his engineering exactness, getting it just right.
