Draycott scarecrow festival

a lovely bank holiday monday with a trip to a local scarecrow festival, this is the 3rd festival we have been to since having Erin. i love how cheesy they are but as they are all in villages its so cute how the whole village takes part.

we got there and first stop was to pick up a map which guides you to all the scarecrows plus a slip for the you vote on the best one. cute.

there were loads of great scarecrows, Flintstones, monsters inc, marilyn monroe, a creepy witch type one, a fantastic harry potter and friends whole set (that was our winner), a great snowman and snow dog who was man from wellies and lots more. there was also a fantastic real scarecrow driving round the village on his tractor.

our final stop was at a day nursery where there was a lovely little minion, but best of all a bouncy castle. both erin and caleb couldn't wait to get on it. and then wow the sun came out it was so hot. so what with bouncing in the castle and in a sun trap the kids were hot and red. we did let them have there full 10 minutes but then headed off for shade and juice.

on the way home we stopped off for a lush but naughty kfc and then back to watch a DVD. erins growth spirt continues as after tea, bath and bed she sobbed to mark that she was really hungry so he brought her down for a large bowl of cereal which she ate in record time and then back to bed.
