Cathedral of books

I spent most of the day wandering in Powell's bookstore, downtown Portland. A huge place! Over a whole city block of books of all shapes, kinds, colors, and types. Whatever you can imagine. A local landmark of sorts and a place that after a while seems to make people dizzy....

Whooaaa, nerding out on too many books for the whole afternoon. Losing myself in the art and photography section, gleaming the corridors of Latin America and the Caribbean, afraid to even venture into the enormity of fiction, and finally perusing some travel books for real and daydream adventures to come. I walked away with two books to add to space I really don't have in my backpack, but it could be worse.
