Dressed for the weather...

Well, I left the hotel at 6am and got the Gautrain to the airport which was great! All was going well until we boarded the plane and then we sat......and sat........and sat. Eventually we were told there was a delay with refuelling the plane or something, so we sat again. So........with all the sitting and waiting I arrived back in Lilongwe too late to begin the drive to Mzuzu (its not safe driving in the night in Africa!!) so I have to spend the night and leave in the morning. Too bad I am meant to be presenting a paper tomorrow for the Annual meeting of our organisation! This is Malawi..........

Aside from that it was really cold in Johannesburg especially the last couple of days. When we landed in Lilongwe it was like turning up the oven, it was so nice to feel the heat again.......as I looked around for a blip I saw this guy riding his bicycle wearing his woolly hat and long sleeves.........maybe there is wind chill or something!!
