The accidental finding

Barefoot

Here's a rarity: a band with no name! The girl on the left is Isabella and the girl on the right is her friend! They are very young, judging by their school-age fan club, and have sweet voices. They were playing in the marquee at our local, the Crown and Sceptre, as part of Stroud's "outer fringe" festival.

We wandered up there after lunch, having spent a gruesome few hours clearing brambles, vines and leylandii ( not ours!) from an unloved area of the garden. It looks better now, but we still have to sort out the extra pots, decide what to do with the corner, and have a very large bonfire. Oh, and there really is a bath and a kitchen sink outside our house! I am hoping the 'scrappie' will take them, to save us going to the tip. We are not revamping the house on the inside; we just happened to have these in the garden (blush).

So, the pub visit was very welcome, though the specialist beers and ciders were running out. I tried a rum-casked cider, but had to have something else next time. We both found friends to chat to, and the following act, Ceilidh-Jo, was excellent. Then we rushed home as I am expecting a friend and need to cook for her. We are going out to yet another gig tonight.

She has not yet turned up. Maybe I'd better give her a call ...
