Sue and Roy's 40th Wedding Anniversary

Married in 1973, Sue and Roy invited 40 family and friends to a scrummy lunch in a local pub and then back to their house for cake and coffee.

Their eldest son, Jamie and his wife Jackie, organised a memento of the day - we all put a fingerprint onto the tree and then wrote our name on it. Once they'd got everybody on it, they popped it into a frame and handed it over during the speech and cake cutting segment of the day.

The weather was fine and bright and a rather lovely afternoon was had by all.
