New for Old

We decided that it was about time the dogs had a treat so we took them to a part of the Offa's Dyke Path which we all enjoy, in the hills just above Welshpool.

Not quite 18 months ago - when a certain young boy was no'but a baby in arms - these young Christmas trees were only waist high.

Today, they formed a path of their own, well over our height in places, and surrounded this old tree stump just off the pathway.

I wonder how many fires the old tree has fed in it's time and how many lives the Christmas tree, when cut and decorating a home somewhere, will make that little bit happier because of it's presence.
