St Johns in the Vale

Had work in Keswick this afternoon which meant a walk in the area afterwards. This is one of my favourite views and its a mere stones throw from the Castlerigg Stone Circle. Unfortunately though we only had a very short walk as there were cows in the field with calves and one cow was standing in the gateway with calf a very short distance away. I tried to be brave and got quite close expecting her to move but she didn't and made a move towards me which was enough to send me packing especially having heard on the news a few days ago about somebody and their dog being trampled on and badly injured by a cow with a calf! Anyhow at least I still got to see my view!
Another strange day...
