Palaces and Parades .......

Up early, and out to Trafalgar Square . We headed down through Admiralty Arch and then lo and behold the guards were coming up the Mall on horseback heading for horseguards . What a great sight , thoses horses are enormous . We strolled down the Mall, and watched the crowds gathering for changing of the guard . The band played all down the Mall , and it was glorious. We then headed into Clarence House for our 11.30am tour . This was totally enthralling, and we really enjoyed snooping around Prince Charles' house , and taking a look at his gardens.
We then headed back to Soho and another scrummy lunch .
The afternoon was spent on the Southbank , people watching and generally catching the sun whilst watching the boats on the Thames.
We headed back to Euston , and had a nice cold beer before catching the 8.25pm back home. It's a great train journey, just under two hours, and only £25 each as we booked quite a while in advance. Home by 10.45 , and bed by 11pm, totally worn out.
