While I/we were masquerading as Jewellers ;¬)) we got a fair bit of trade from repairs/alterations.
An unexpected by-product of losing a couple of stones, (or 28lb to them as hasn't invented the "Stone") was the fact that my fingers also shrunk. My signet ring was equally comfortable on 1st and third fingers of both hands.
Therefore we took a trip into Mike's while we were wandering/shopping in Carlisle. Two sizes enlittlement.
Gaffer also managed to find some clothes which both fit AND were favoured, usually it's one or t'other.
This is a painting (I think) a friend if his did, which hangs in his office.
