The window cleaner

Today we've spent the day wandering around Reykjavik, seeing the sights, browsing through some quirky shops, and taking lots of leisurely coffee and lunch breaks to soak in the atmosphere and do some people watching. First impressions are that it's cold here (clue's in the name I guess) and that it's a very cool little city!

This afternoon we visited the Harpa concert hall, a stunning modern construction on the edge of the old harbour. It's a huge glass building, with one side totally made up of lots of interlocking hexagonal glass prisms. We spotted this guy inside the structure, and I thought he looked interesting. We initially thought that he was cleaning the windows but it later turned out that he was doing some work on the metal frame. We had been watching him hanging there for a while and had already named him 'the window cleaner' so that's what I'll keep calling him :)
