Uncle Bob's Monkey Puzzle Tree.

Well it used to be his but now its mine. About 23 years ago he decided he didn't like or want it, so called in my father to organise its disposal. It was about 6ft tall and a fine specimen so it would have broken my fathers heart to see it on the compost heap. Instead he persuaded me to dig it and it's 8ft long tap root up and to transport it to my garden where it stagnated and went browner and browner. After 3 years we were fed up with looking at this sad brown stick and were on the point of disposing of it when we realised it had grown 2ft. The next year it went green again and has continued to grow about 2ft every year since.
Two cats and several hamsters have been buried at it's base.
