Signet ceiling

A quick blip tonight as it was a dash from work to the Signet Library - roof shown in photo - then back home to see my brother and my nephews for the first time in 18 months. Then off to the airport to pick up sister-in-law who flew in at 23.15 to join the family before they headed down to stay with my mother in North Berwick.

So a busy evening. The lecture was the annual one hosted by APEX. The speaker was Sir Stephen House, the Chief Constable of Police Scotland speaking about the new organisation's role and how he saw it working in partnership with other organisations to respond to local communities' needs. No time to stay for the usual networking but still an opportunity to look up at the magnificent ceiling. The library was completed in 1822 in time for the visit to Edinburgh of King George IV and remains a magnificent venue.
